“I went in for an appt yesterday with Dr Peairs , I was so impressed with this facilty , it was clean and state of the art . I checked in with the receptionist gave my info and am was taken back .The woman who checked my vision Was very polite and walked me thru the process .I was so nervous since my optometrist mentioned I have bleeding due to my diabetes , I thought I may go blind . A gal named CYNTHIA took photos of my eyes she was very kind to me . Once I was evaluated by Dr Peairs he showed me my eye images and Walked me through my treatment . I thought I would have to return for treatment but no I was so happy it was done the same day I was so scared about the process .Jorge was the tech who assisted me and explained what I should expect after the treatment .His customer service was also great . I walked out of here feeling educated about my eye condition .I wanted The staff Md Dr Peairs to know how they impacted me during a very scary time .Dr Peairs was gentle , compassionate and very kind .There should be more doctors like Dr Peairs out there . I am very thankful to my optometrist at Walmart for referring me to This clinic it is a gem in Chula Vista.” – Lucille F.

“My husband was referred to these retina specialists after a routine eye exam at Costco optometry with Dr. Chad Barritt resulted in a diagnosis of a detached retina! We were on vacation from Canada and this was a complete detour from our plans. Dr. Barritt recommended we go directly to the American Eye Associates, as this is an emergency and needs surgery to prevent complete vision loss. We went there and explained our situation and they fit us into their busy schedule within 2 hours.

My husband had the fortune of seeing Dr. Jason Moss who was just great. He was kind and patient and explained the extent of the problem and different ways it could be repaired. Since we planned to continue traveling, he recommended a silicone oil to repair his eye instead of a gas bubble which would restrict traveling over mountain passes. He scheduled the surgery 2 days later at their adjacent clinic, the Surgery Center of California.

My husband’s appointment was scheduled for noon but they called us to see if we would like to come in at 10:00 am as they had had some cancellations. My husband was happy to get started early. We had been told that the surgery and recovery time could be a total of 4 hours but he was ready to go home by 12:40, alert and pain free. We returned the next morning to have the dressing removed and once again had the most professional service. All of the assistants were very knowledgeable and answered any questions we had.

A week later we met with Dr. Moss again for a final check and we couldn’t be happier with the service and kind professionalism that we received. As Chula Vista was not our home, they even supplied us with the necessary eye drops without sending us to a pharmacy. In addition, they very willingly provided us with copies of all their paperwork and records for us to take in hand to our ophthalmologist back in Canada. We couldn’t be happier with the facility, the service, the knowledge or the outcome and feel that we were lucky to have had this happen where it did. “I have never been personally treated by any of the doctors at this office however, I have been here to take my aunt to appointments and all of the staff is extremely friendly. The doctors are very thorough and helpful in answering any questions that arise. I would highly recommend this office to anyone looking for a great eye doctor.” – Sharron M.

“The doctors in this clinic are amazing. This clinic is not your basic Dr.’s office where they make you wait for a long time and when you finally get to the room they let you leave without explaining everything to detail. I had the opportunity to seek care here and they explained everything with such detail in order to educate you in every sense of your visit. They also have Spanish speaking Dr’s and it was a great benefit when it came to understanding what was going on. I highly recommend these Dr’s, you won’t regret coming here.” – Neyra R.

“I’m not usually a fan of going to a Drs office because you wait so long only to have the Dr rush in and then rush out and you always leave with questions. This place is the opposite. There was a bit if a wait but when in the room both the assistant and the Dr makes the time to sit with you and answer all questions. The staff here is very friendly and knowledgeable and the office is huge and very clean. I will definitely be going back.” – Kelly B.

“I brought my grandmother here to see Dr. Moss for an evaluation due to blurry vision. The wait was long but it was worth it. When you walk in you get greeted by the front office staff, the waiting room is very clean, they even have complementary coffee. As we were waiting i would occasionally as for a status on how much longer the wait would be to be seen, the staff was happy to help and would offer if there was anything they could do to make our wait more comfortable. Everyone was wearing name tags which made it easier not only for me but for my grandmother as well to remember who attended us. We were walked to our exam room and while waiting for the Doctor his assistant was very friendly, educated and made us feel very comfortable and asked is we had any questions for Dr. Moss, i greatly appreciated this because most clinics walk you to the exam room tell you your Doctor will be there shortly which isn’t and close the door behind them. The doctor took his time was very patient and would even try to communicate with my grandmother in Spanish you can really tell he cares greatly of his patients. I would extremely recommend this office to any of my friends and family and will continue to bring my grandmother to see one of our favorite doctors here.” – Itzel N.
