Colin Ip, M.D.
Dr. Colin Ip is a fellowship trained cornea specialist and board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology. He performs advanced vision corrective surgery including LASIK, PRK, ICL implantation, refractive lens exchange, and cataract surgery. Dr. Ip also treats corneal and external diseases such as dry eye disease, pterygium, and Fuchs’ endothelial dystrophy. In addition, he is an expert in the treatment of keratoconus and corneal crosslinking. He also specializes in corneal transplantation including DSAEK, DMEK, and PKP.
Dr. Ip graduated from the University of Washington with Cum Laude distinction while accomplishing a double major in Neurobiology and Biochemistry and a minor in Bioethics and Humanities. He then received his medical degree at the Indiana University School of Medicine and became a member of the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society. After spending a year at the University of California, Irvine for his internship, he then completed his ophthalmology residency at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston. His desire for further specialized training led him to the esteemed John A. Moran Eye Center in Salt Lake City, where he completed a fellowship in cornea, external disease, and refractive surgery.
During his ophthalmology training and career, Dr. Ip has published numerous peer-reviewed articles in the field of ophthalmology and is a member of the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery and the American Academy of Ophthalmology.
Finally, Dr. Ip enjoys the outdoors and finds time to hike, swim, play soccer, and teach his dog new tricks.
